Draw text

Hull

You can add text in the scene quickly using the Text tool. This allows you to click and add Text objects in the scene, which you can edit, resize and move around like regular objects.

The created Text object can be edited further in the Properties panel of Blender's desktop view, for e.g. to change the font or spacing.

This is useful for labeling objects in the scene, making notes, or just adding text to your scene.

Activate the tool

Point at the main menu, and click on the Text Text tool using your main hand's trigger button.

Add Text

  1. Click the main trigger button where you want the Text object to be placed.
  2. Then type the text that you want using your keyboard.
  3. To stop editing, click outside anywhere using the trigger button (or press the OBJECT button in the main menu).

Edit Text

  1. Use the Select tool to select an existing Text object.
  2. Click the EDIT button in the main menu.
  3. Start typing or editing using your keyboard.
  4. To stop editing, click outside anywhere using the trigger button (or press the OBJECT button in the main menu).

Move/Resize Text objects

Text objects are regular Blender objects, which means you can use the Select tool to grab, resize and move them like any other object.

Customize the font

The created Text object can be edited further in the Properties panel of Blender's desktop view, for e.g. to change the font or spacing.
