Inset

Inset

You can inset the faces of a mesh by using the Inset operation. This allows you to create a sub-face that's proportionate to the selected face.

Activate inset

Before you activate inset, please start editing an object by following the Activate edit mode section at this page.

Also, please make sure you've selected the Face mesh type in the edit submenu.

  1. Select the faces to inset by enabling the Select tool and clicking on them with the main trigger.
  2. Point at the submenu for the edit mode, and click on Inset.
  3. This will attach the inset handle to the selected mesh elements.

Make an inset face

  1. Grab the spherical knob of the inset handle, using the main squeeze button.
  2. Push towards or pull away from the selection, to create an inset face.
